what? an annual fee of $450?

Pretty cool, huh? There’s a reason why they say they’re premium cards.
$450/year puts the card on par with Amex’s Platinum card.

The consumer version of the card seems interesting. Though I’m not wild about the annual fee either.

Have the card, worth every penny for the annual fee – if you travel often.

The annual fee includes Delta Crown Room membership which essentially is the price of the annual fee. Waiting in the crown room lounge for your flight is very nice and well worth it. Free beverages (including beer and mixed drinks) and a tv and comfortable sofa with snacks complimentary also — beats sitting crammed in with hundreds others waiting for the plane at the gate.
