British Airways Visa: 100,000 BA Miles Signup Bonus + More
Friday, November 6th, 2009Chase and British Airways just announced that the British Airways Visa will be offering an unheard of 100,000 mile signup bonus: 50,000 BA Miles after first purchase, and 50,000 more BA miles after spending $2,000 on the card within three months. That’s enough miles for two round-trip transatlantic flights.
The new offer is available today to existing U.S. British Airways Executive Club members and November 16, 2009 for nonmembers.
In addition, you’ll earn 1.25 miles per dollar spent and a free companion award redemption voucher for spending $30,000 on the card in a year. The voucher allows for a complimentary flight for a companion in the same class. The card does carry an annual fee of $75.

can british air points be transferred to
other airlines for travel? Can these
transfers take place within and outside of
Star Alliance partners?

BA miles can not be transfered to any other airline. Points.com, the only website that allows certain transfer (at a really bad transfer rate), does not allow BA transfers either.

I applied for this on Nov 16th (the first day it was offered to the public), and am still waiting. They sent a letter asking for a photocopy of my social security card and ID (even though, I already have another account with Chase), so I mailed them that info and am waiting again… Has anyone received this card yet? If so, what’s ur FICO score? Mine is 803, so if they turn me down, it’s for sure one of those too good to be true deals.
