Citibank is introducing the Citi ThankYou Premier Card with a large signup bonus upfront: 20,000 ThankYou points after you spend $1,000 within the first 3 months. That’s enough points to redeem for $200 in gift cards or other rewards.
In addition, some of the card’s other benefits include:
- No foreign exchange fees
- Earn points for the miles you fly when you purchase a ticket with your Citi ThankYou Premier Card.
- Earn an anniversary bonus based on the number of points earned from purchases every year. The longer you remain a cardholder, the larger your bonus percentage will be.

The Premier Card does carry a $125 annual fee which is waived for the first year.
Update 5/15: The original intro offer has expired. For more details on the current deal, see the Citi ThankYou Premier Card application.
Starwood just announced another new benefit for its SPG credit card from Amex: get a free third night when you stay 2 consecutive nights at a Sheraton. In addition, they are celebrating this new feature with a sweepstakes called the “Thank Goodness It’s Thursday” giveaway. Every Thursday between today and December 1, 2010, 3 people will win a 3-night stay. Each week, the prizes will get progressively better. The first week, the prizes will consist of 3-night stays at a category 3 hotel (21,000 Starpoints). The next week, winners will receive a 3-night stay at a category 4 hotel (30,000 Starpoints). Third week prizes are 3 night stays at a category 5 hotel (36,000 Starpoints). In the final week of the promotion, winners will receive a 3 night stay at a category 6 hotel in the form of 60,000 Starpoints. For rules or to enter the giveaway, see this link.
The response was apparently strong enough to their last offer that SPG has decided to extend its promo. Until July 31, 2010, new applications for the Starwood Amex can earn 30,000 points for spending $1,000 within the first 3 months of cardmembership by using the links below. (Via SD)

Late last year, Pentagon Federal introduced its Premium Travel Rewards Amex. At the time it appeared most noteworthy because it made PenFed the first credit union to issue an Amex-branded credit card. Upon closer inspection, however, it appears that the credit card merits some serious attention, particularly for those who fly a lot.

Existing SonyCard members can earn a bonus 5,000 SonyRewards points for spending $1,500 between July 1, 2009 and August 31, 2009. To be eligible for this offer, cardholders must visit www.sony.com/sonycard/summer2009 and enter offer code “SCSummer09” to enroll. Then, spend at least $1,500 on your SonyCard to earn the bonus. Today Citi announced a new credit card created in partnership with MySpace, called the Citi Forward. It features a few incentives to consumers for managing their credit wisely, including lowering the purchase interest rate by 0.25% when cardmembers make a purchase, stay under their credit line and pay on time 3 months in a row. In addition, you’ll earn 100 ThankYou Points each billing period for paying on time and staying under the credit line.
Citi customers with a Citi mtvU Visa will also note the Citi Forward’s uncanny resemblance. Similar to the mtvU card, the Forward earns 5 ThankYou Points for every $1 spent on restaurants, books, music and movies. More importantly, the Citi Forward does not require that you be a student in order to apply.
