M&T Bank Rewards Credit CardThrough June 30, 2012, M&T Bank is offering its M&T Visa Credit Card with Rewards with an intro 0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months and no balance transfer fees. After the intro period, balance transfers will be assessed a fee of 4% with a $10 minimum. The card does not have an annual fee.

You’ll also earn 10,000 bonus points if you make at least $1,000 in purchases within 3 months of account opening. It may prove difficult to take advantage of this purchase bonus in addition to the intro balance transfer, however, given that you would want to have a zero balance before initiating your balance transfer.

The rewards program associated with the card is not particularly noteworthy. Points are worth a penny each when redeemed towards prepaid gift cards. Points can also be redeemed towards gift certificates, merchandise, airline tickets and travel packages. Each card is limited to earning a maximum of 75,000 points per year, excluding special offers, and unredeemed points expire after 48 months.
