Small Business Saturday Returns – Get $25 for Spending $25 at a Small Business on Nov. 24

Small Business SaturdayThe wildly successful American Express-created holiday, Small Business Saturday, returns this year on November 24, 2012. Promoted as a counterpart to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Small Business Saturday encourages consumers to support small, local businesses with their holiday shopping. And once again, American Express will be rewarding its cardmembers who back the cause by issuing a $25 statement credit to those who spend at least $25 in a single transaction on their Amex at a qualifying small business location on November 24, 2012.

In order to participate, you must first enroll an eligible American Express card at ShopSmall.com. Prepaid and corporate cards are not eligible. Enrollment is limited and begins at 12:00am MST on November 18, 2012 and will continue until 11:59pm MST on November 24, 2012 or the enrollment limit has been reached, whichever occurs earlier.

Once you’ve registered your card, you must then use your enrolled card to spend at least $25 in a single, in-store transaction at a qualifying small business location on November 24, 2012. A list of qualifying small business locations can be found at ShopSmall.com. In addition, small businesses that accept American Express and can be found on the Square Directory at https://squareup.com/directory/?cmpId=amex also qualify.

Your $25 statement credit should appear within 8 weeks after American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase.
