Student credit cards are good if used responsibly. I am a student right now and try to educate the students at my college about personal finance. I myself have a credit card and in about 18 months i developed a 740 credit score. The most important thing to remember is that a credit card is money you don't have and the companies charge a lot to use their money. So a good thing to keep in mind is pay your balance off each month that will help your score and keep you out of a hole.
