Twitter Launches Twitter Offers, Discounts Linked to Your Credit Card

TwitterToday, Twitter announced the launch of Twitter Offers, a new program aimed to drive sales directly through Twitter advertisements. For those familiar with Amex Offers, the system is very similar — when users see a Twitter Offer on their timeline, they can add the offer to their credit or debit card, then redeem the deal in real time by using that card at the merchant. As with Amex Offers, the promotion is tied to their card, so there are no coupons to redeem at the point of purchase. The cash back savings then appear on their card statement within a few days.

Small Business Saturday 2014Small Business Saturday–the holiday American Express created to encourage shoppers to patronize brick and mortar businesses that are small and local–is coming soon, to be observed on November 29, 2014, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. On that day, American Express is offering its cardmembers the opportunity to earn three $10 statement credits per eligible American Express card for making purchases at qualifying small business locations. That’s a huge improvement over the single $10 statement credit per card that was offered last year, and overall, even more than the single $25 statement credits that used to be offered.

The number of registrations is limited. Registration opens at 12:00am MST on Nov 16, 2014 and will continue until 11:59pm MST on Nov 29, 2014, unless the registration limit is reached sooner.
